New Parenting Calendar Tool Available But Has Bugs So do not Blindly Follow

On Behalf of | May 12, 2018 | Firm News

Parents who are under an order for Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines now have a new tool that assists them in making sure that they comply with the parenting order. If you go to https://public.courts.in.gov/PTC/#/ you can set up a calendar that automatically fills in the guidelines into a calendar. It appears to use the parenting time before 2017 updates, so you need to make sure that it complies with your order. Many people do not know that the guidelines are reviewed and revised every few years, but the revisions do not apply to your case unless you obtain a new court order stating you should use the new guidelines. You can change the calendar to fit your order. Remember this is for children more than 3 years of age. If you have any questions you should consult your attorney. Some schools are not included yet and some dates are not included. I was informed on June 25, 2018, that the school calendars while published to parents have not been certified to the Indiana Department of Education and therefore the non school dates will not be in the tool until that date. It is a beta test calendar, so the bugs are being worked out.
